Do your prices include VAT ? TOP
All prices shown in our pricelist and on the website include VAT (and duty), but not delivery.
We operate mainly under the Global Accounting scheme for VAT, so VAT is not invoiced separately.
On a few items - notably gift boxes, delivery charges and wines where the description
includes "Standard VAT on this item" - we do account for VAT in the normal way, and your
invoice will show the VAT as a separate item. Please note that for
these items, the prices shown on our pricelist and on the website do
still include VAT.
What are the payment options ? TOP
Please be assured that our website offers a fully secure card transaction capability, and that your card details are not retained on our server after completion of the transaction. We do recommend payment on the website as the fastest and easiest method. We accept Visa, Mastercard and debit cards, aswell as payment by PayPal.
If you are not comfortable with paying online, then please enter your order as normal and click on "Go To Payments". After entering your address details and clicking on "Continue" you come to payment options. Please select the "Cheque" option, click on "Continue" and leaving all the fields blank, click on "Order Now". We will call you to arrange payment by one of the following methods :
- Direct bank transfer. We will provide our account details to you, agree how the transfer should be identified, and then ship on receipt of the funds into our account.
- Personal cheque. We will ship your order ten working days after receipt of the cheque.
- By credit or debit card over the phone. If you provide us with your card details by phone we will carry out a "customer not present" terminal transaction, and will not retain your card details .
You can always of course place your order by email or telephone aswell.
What do you charge for DELIVERY ? TOP
For a standard delivery - an untimed delivery between 3 and 5 working days after order - to a mainland U.K. address we charge £ 10.00. Standard delivery is free of charge for all orders of 6 bottles or more to mainland U.K. addresses.
Within Europe, we offer fully insured delivery according to the rates shown below.

| | How long will my delivery take ? TOP
You should receive your wines within one week of placing the order with us.
We aim to despatch all orders within 2 working days. If this is not possible for any reason we will contact you within one working day of receiving your order to advise you of the delay and check whether you still want to place the order.
All orders are shipped by courier and will require a signature on delivery. If you are not in when the courier calls, they will leave a card with their contact details so that you can arrange a convenient date for re-delivery.
Do I need to be at home to receive the delivery ? TOP
Unless you request otherwise the courier has instructions to obtain a signature on delivery. This can be from anyone at the delivery address.
If you are unlikely to be at home and have somewhere safe to leave the wine, you can request delivery without signature during the checkout process.
Please use the Shopping Cart "Special Requests" box, before going to Payment. Enter "NO SIGNATURE" and details of a safe place where the courier is authorised to leave the wine.
PLEASE NOTE that if you select a "NO SIGNATURE" option, we do not accept any liability for the shipment after the courier has delivered it.
Can I return a delivery if I change my mind ? TOP
You can return goods you have ordered from us - provided that they are unopened and undamaged - for any reason at any time within 14 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.
Why do you use a PO Box rather than a real address ? TOP
As the business grows we expect to need to move premises, so a PO Box address means that our website, stationery etc will not change.
Can I reclaim VAT on my purchases ? TOP
Although we are VAT registered, we operate prinicpally under the Global Accounting scheme. This means that we do not invoice separately for VAT, and that you cannot reclaim input VAT on purchases from us.
