A. Meadows, 2014
I had a chance to retry this a year later and it hasn't changed much from the first review as an expressive nose of floral, citrus and pear scents leads to vibrant and beautifully well-detailed flavors that display really lovely precision. The mid-palate offers solid volume and fine depth as well as impressive length on the saline-inflected finish. This moderately forward and classy effort is a lovely villages. (Drink starting 2017)

J. Gilman, 2013
The 2011 Puligny villages from Monsieur Carillon was aged in fifteen percent new oak for six months, prior to being racked into tank for its assemblage and was bottled at the end of February. The wine was showing very well at the time of my visit, wafting from the glass in a very pretty bouquet of lemon, white peach, spring flowers, chalky soil tones and a whisper of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and crisp, with a lovely core of fruit, fine purity and harmony and a long, zesty and perfectly balanced finish. High class villages! (Drink between 2014-2030)

S. Tanzer, 2013
Pale yellow. Aromas of yellow peach, musky spices and white truffle. Round, moderately intense and fine-grained, but without quite the inner-mouth energy or grip of the 2012 version. Finishes with a slight dry edge. I wanted more mid-palate sweetness and flesh. This is carrying a rather high 4.8 g/l of acidity, with a low pH of 3.05.

A. Galloni, 2013
A wine of exceptional finesse, Carillon's 2011 Puligny-Montrachet is striking in its beauty. Crushed rocks, lemon, mint and white flowers meld together in this beautiful entry-level Puligny. The 2011 finishes with superb energy and intensity. It is a true standout within its category. (Drink starting 2014)
